Jim Matthews is the founder of JEM Innovations LLC. Previously at Keurig Green Mountain as Vice President, Beverage Quality, Jim was responsible for quality, food safety, product compliance and support to new product development.
Jim joined Keurig Green Mountain from H.J. Heinz Company where he served as Group Vice-President - R&D/Innovation North America and Emerging Markets, and previously as Vice President R&D and Quality since 1999. While at Heinz he championed the creation of the Heinz Innovation Center, a state of the art technical facility that provides the tools and talent to innovate in product, packaging, convenience and nutrition, and led technology teams that created over 500 successful new products. He also serves as a director on various industry boards, including the American Frozen Foods Institute, The Frozen Food Foundation, and is on the Cornell University Food Science Industry Advisory Board.
Jim holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology/Medical Technology from SUNY Geneseo and a Masters of Business Administration in Management from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
